The Lufia series deals with the basic forces of good vs. evil with a twist: someone's living a double life and isn't sure which side they really belong to. Lufia 1 is actually the sequel to Lufia 2 which describes the lives of the descendants of those characters. One thing that may be looked at as either an advantage or a disadvantage to this is that the player already knows the fates of the characters from Lufia 2 unless he plays them in reverse order. I personally don't mind the "spoilers," but this series wasn't very popular and that fact may have contributed to that.
